With 137 species and 350 cultivars of perennials Benary continues the history of leadership in perennial breeding and production. Modern cultivation is making new and more complex demands on perennials:
The cultivars must tolerate very different climatic conditions and yet flower reliably.
Flowering time must be prolonged for increased value to the final customer
The crop must be easy to grow and be successful without excessive use of technical devices.
Crop time must be shorter and more controllable.
Actually Benary meets these demands with new selections of perennial assortments. So in 2002/2003 Benary created a new trademark, the new ”Fastrax Prennial Program” as a product of superior breeding and selection work. Including 99 varieties, these perennials can be produced very economically and flower the first year from seed.
