TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Garden Height:  15 cm
  5,91 inch
Crop Time:  Plug production (sowing to transplanting): 8 weeks; Flowering pots (transplanting to flower): 8-11 weeks; Flowering after over winter: 8-10 months
Sell Period:  March to October
Seed Form:  Rubbed seed, 1,700 seeds/g
Seed Count:  1 K/g
Sowing Time:  January-April flower flowering from May onwards; August to September for flowering the following year in March
Sowing Method:  2-3 seeds per plug
Germination:  4-10 days at 20-21 °C, cover seed lightly with vermiculite after sowing. Keep soil slightly moist, but not wet.
Plug Culture:  From stage II reduce the temperature to 17-20 °C.
Growing On:  6-8 weeks after sowing transplant 1-3 plugs into pot (7-9 cm) or 2-3 plugs into bigger pots (10-15 cm).
Media:  Use a well-drained, growing perennial substrate, pH: 5.8-7.0.
Photoperiod / Light:  Day length neutral plants. Armeria needs high light levels. Start with supplemental lighting in early spring for an early crop.
Temperature:  Grow at 13-17 °C. In winter indoors frost free at 3-5 °C or outdoors. Outdoors a fleece cover is needed. In spring the plants start to grow for 10-11 weeks at 15-18 °C. Cold temperatures from 7-12 °C slow down plant growth and increase crop times. At temperatures below 7 °C the growth will stop.
Fertilization:  Low-moderate fertilization levels are required.
Cultural Hints:  After planting and establishing, treat pots with a fungicide against root diseases and clean the plants well. The plant growth is slow and the plant develops a tap root. Dry, light and airy cultivation. The roots are very sensitive to wet substrates.

Hint
The cultural recommendations are based on results from trials conducted under Central European conditions. Different conditions in other parts of the world may lead to deviations in results achieved.
