Hann. Münden Benaryans looking to build on this year's excellent performance at the Flower Trials in Westland/the Netherlands
For three years in a row, Benary has been present at the Westland Flower Trials held in the Netherlands in June. The visitors' enthusiastic reception of this year's new introductions 'BIG'TM begonias x benariensis F1 hybrid and 'Joey'® Ptilotus exaltatus, the increasing internationality and diversity of the visitors to the trade show, and the ideal time for the show in June are key factors in Benary’s strategic expansion of its contacts network.
Benary on international growth trajectory
“At the Flower Trials, we meet representatives from all sectors of the industry. Wholesales, growers, and purchasers for garden centers all showed huge interest in our products at this year’s show. Talking to the visitors to the Flower Trials has given us lots of ideas and suggestions to take home for future business developments. In addition, our stand attracted nearly twice as many visitors as last year," says Managing Director Matthias Redlefsen.
For the Lower Saxon plant breeders, participating in the Flower Trials and extending their presence from year to year has proved to be a highly successful long-term strategy.
Focus of the Benary Pack Trials is on the USA
Benary also shared a stand at this year's Pack Trials in De Kwakel, the Netherlands, with Takii Europe B.V. Although the event was a full success, it has been decided not to take part next year. In the interest of customer convenience, future participation in trade shows is going to be more targeted with a higher show density, which will make attendance easier for customers.
In terms of classic Pack Trials, Benary is going to continue to focus on the Californian Pack Trials in the USA. "This is where we can meet major international wholesale customers," explains General Sales Manager Christian Kappler. Benary has been established in the USA for 15 years with offices in the Chicago region, where a new seed warehouse was set up this year for faster seed delivery to North American customers.
