| Benary's Salvia 'Evolution' Nominated for the Horticulture Week New Product Award 2005 |

Following the successful premiere at last year's Four Oaks Show, Benary will again participate in the most important horticultural show in the UK this year. At booth B72, visitors will have the opportunity to view Benary's display of a comprehensive selection of plants and make use of the company's consultation service. Benary will also be presenting the new Salvia farinacea 'Evolution', an All America Selections winner in the USA already, for the "Horticulture Week New Product Award 2005".
'Evolution' the current top of Benary's salvia range of 18 varieties in six species. This exceptional salvia adds an extravagant deep violet color to the Salvia farinacea color range that is unique in the market. The long crowded flower spikes create a sharp attractive contrast to the deep green foliage. Just as long-lived and healthy as the bicolor white-and-blue 'Reference', fine silvery white 'Silver', and blue 'Victoria', 'Evolution' flowers from July through October. Profusely branching and more compact than other salvia varieties, 'Evolution' at 40 cm is a delicate item that displays its graceful beauty in group plantings, combination containers, extensive flower beds, and as a cut flower. 'Evolution' is an excellent summer pot item that can be finished in 14 weeks. Its attractive plant habit recommends 'Evolution' for two selling dates: April for green plant sales and the classical bedding and balcony season from mid-May onwards for flowering sales.
